The Adirondacks are a large mountain range in New York State covering 13,000 sq kms.
The history of the Adirondack basket dates back to the early 1800’s & were originally crafted by the Mohawk Indians in this region.
They were also known as trapping baskets & could be filled with hunting, fishing or snow gear, harnessed to carry on your back for long treks in the woods or snow.
These baskets are in perfect vintage condition with no flaws.
Great for flowers or picnic gear!
