One of our more unusual yet extremely popular lines are these Antique Receipt Holders.
They were originally from an old accounting table top system with a register once attached.
The register company was founded 19th May 1896 in Lisbon Ohio by a grocer who needed a better way to keep track of his charge accounts.
The receipt clips formed part of the accounting system.
The company expanded & by 1903 opened up various plants throughout the US & Canada.
This holder has clips both front and back.
We’ve added old wire to hang as a display board but looks equally special on a flat top table.
What an amazing piece of our accounting past!
