If there was ever a piece that is from our industrial past this would be it!
Originally from France these handmade baskets were then transported across to the UK to be used in the old woollen Mills.
This one is particularly special with woven cane through heavy timber reinforcing on the front & back.
There is only one handle on the side as these were used to drag heavy loads of wool across factory floors.
Don’t expect perfect, these are genuine industrial working pieces.
Used extensively in print media the ones we have are the only baskets left.
Once gone - that’s it!
