This rare yet unusual RIPOLIN clip is from a paint company that had bases in the Netherlands, London & Paris.
The product was originally formulated in the Netherlands by a Dutch chemist then later manufactured in France.
There are 3 painters on the clip in white jackets with 2 men painting a verse in French on each others backs.
Ripolin paint was even made famous by Picasso & Sidney Nolan in some of their artworks.
Used as an advertising tool these clips are now a highly collectable piece of early European stationary.
Great for holding papers or artworks with a nice tight clasp.
In lovely condition for its age.
