This magnificent piece of antique French Broderie is certainly one for the die hard collector.
We think it may have been from a parlour chair as a skirt but didn’t want to dismantle it so left it for the purchaser to decide.
It truly is a lovely piece of lace history.
Size - Un stitched is 73cm so essentially twice that once dismantled (146cm circumference)
The cut work lace is 15.5cm wide excluding the top part.
Note - The piece has been left in its ‘as found’ so you can decide whether to soak & wash the lace.
