It’s not often we come across something so special!
This early century cedar ballot box is certainly one of them.
We have fully restored it yet left the original age & wear marks intact.
It is in a deep rich antique hue which oozes so much charm.
There is no rotting, borer or woodworm damage to the inside of the box, it’s interior is in immaculate condition - please refer to photos.
It’s special larger size would be wonderful for toys, magazines, shoes, books or towels.
You could even use it as a seat for a small child!
The ballot paper slot is fabulous, still rustic but a great feature.
There is an original handle on one side only, we have left it on as there is so much character.
It even comes with an original ballot absentee envelope.
The lock closes but key doesn’t turn, it’s purely decorative although it could be easily replaced if needing to lock.
We have given the box a buff with Australian Carnauba hard wax for extra durability.
Note - Signs of wear commensurate with age.
